How much does a website cost?
Western Slope One-Page is a fixed $500 for businesses located on Colorado’s Western Slope, with one page only. Multi-page packages start at $1,250. A more complete Business Website starts at $2,500, while custom projects start at $4,000. We’ll confirm the scope and any separate costs before work begins.
Who can get the $500 one-page website?
This package is exclusively for businesses located on Colorado’s Western Slope. Share your business’s town or city when you inquire so we can confirm eligibility. The site is one scrolling page, with sections for information such as your services, photos, hours, and contact details. Additional pages and advanced functionality are quoted separately. Our other website packages are available to businesses elsewhere, too.
Is the website a one-time payment or a monthly subscription?
Website design is generally a one-time project cost. Domains, hosting, certain software services, and optional ongoing support may involve separate recurring fees. We'll explain these costs before beginning.
Do I have to sign up for monthly marketing services?
No. You can hire Door Prize for a website without committing to ongoing marketing services. If you'd like help maintaining or promoting it afterward, those options are available separately.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. We can review your current website, determine what should be kept or improved, and recommend a redesign. Depending on the platform and existing functionality, we may rebuild some parts rather than modify them directly.
How long does it take to build a website?
The timeline depends on the size of the website, the content available, and the functionality required. Smaller projects are generally less involved than websites with online ordering or custom integrations. We'll establish a realistic schedule as part of the proposal.
Do I need to provide my own photos and text?
Not necessarily. We can help organize and refine your website content. If you have existing photography, logos, brand materials, or business descriptions, those are helpful starting points. Original photography and extensive copywriting may require an additional quote.
Can you help with Google and local search results?
Yes. We can configure essential SEO settings, connect relevant Google services, and help improve your local business presence. Search engine visibility develops over time, and no legitimate provider can guarantee a specific Google ranking.
Can customers order products directly through my website?
Depending on your needs, we can explore online ordering, product catalogs, pickup requests, and payment integrations. We can also create simpler ordering workflows for businesses that prefer customers to pay at pickup.
Can you add appointment scheduling or bookings?
Yes. We can evaluate booking platforms and integrate an appropriate solution where technically supported. Some services charge their own subscription or transaction fees.
Will I be able to make changes to my website myself?
That depends on the platform and type of website we build. We can discuss editing access, website management, and available ownership or transfer options before the project begins. We want clients to understand how their website will be managed.
Who owns my domain and website?
We recommend that clients retain control of their domain and business accounts. Ownership and transferability of website content, design assets, and platform-specific components will be clearly outlined in the project agreement. Some website platforms have limitations that we'll explain upfront.
Can you help if I don't have a logo or established brand?
Yes. Door Prize can help with visual identity, basic branding, and design direction. The scope and cost of those services will depend on what's needed.
Do you only work with businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley?
We're based in Colorado and enjoy working with independent businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley, including Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Basalt, and Aspen. We can also work remotely with businesses elsewhere.
What if I only need a few changes to my existing website?
You don't necessarily need a complete redesign. Tell us what you'd like to change, and we'll determine whether it makes sense to handle the work as a smaller project.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment terms depend on the project. We can discuss a deposit and milestone-based payments for larger projects. Any payment arrangement will be outlined in the proposal.
How do I get started?
Tell us a little about your business and what you're looking for. We'll review your inquiry and discuss whether Door Prize is a good fit for the project.
